ACE Mentor Program Holds Its Year-End Banquet
The year-end banquet for the ACE Mentor Program of Southeast Tennessee and North Georgia was held on February 5, 2019 at The Church on Main in Chattanooga. Eight high school teams completed the ACE Program this year and showcased their projects at the banquet, complete with table displays, computer and 3D scale models, and oral presentations.

City of Franklin Breaks Ground on $132 Million Project
On December 4, the City of Franklin broke ground on its new $132.8 million water reclamation facility upgrade project. According to Emily Kelly, LDA Senior Consultant, the project’s expansion, upgrades, and new technology will set a benchmark for treatment plants around the state.
LDA Engineering hires Reuben Robertson
LDA Engineering is pleased to welcome Reuben Robertson to our team of employees. A graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Reuben started his job as an engineer intern at LDA in September and is based in our Johnson City office. Reuben’s past professional experience includes working as a geotechnical engineering intern.
Jason Brooks Named 2018 “Philanthropist of the Year”
Jason Brooks, President/CEO of LDA Engineering, won the 2018 Best of Blount “Philanthropist of the Year” award at a ceremony held on November 1 at the Clayton Center for the Arts at Maryville College. The event honors businesses, entrepreneurs, and volunteers who have contributed their time, effort, and resources on behalf of Blount County.
UT Students Awarded 2nd Place in Annual Competition
LDA Senior Project Manager Stefanie Farrell, along with UT professor Jennifer Retherford, accompanied a team of University of Tennessee undergraduate engineering students on a recent trip to the WEFTEC Conference in New Orleans. The conference is considered the largest annual water quality technical conference and exhibition in the world.
